A 6-unit affordable housing redevelopment converting a non-conforming space into a studio unit. Renovation includes energy-efficient upgrades, new appliances, flooring, window replacements, and cosmetic improvements to existing five units. Supported by Ramsey County and NOAH funding.

1698 Lafond Avenue – Saint Paul, MN

New construction of a duplex offering 2 three-bedroom, two bath affordable housing units at 40–50% AMI. Built by Coastland Construction, a woman-owned firm. Includes stainless appliances, granite counters, luxury vinyl flooring, and a strong emphasis on BIPOC and local hiring.

Unity Village – Glenwood & Penn Ave, North Minneapolis, MN

A visionary 100-unit mixed-use development emphasizing family-sized affordable housing and community ownership. The site will include 3–4 bedroom rentals and homeownership condos, paired with sustainable building methods and commercial space for BIPOC entrepreneurs.

232 Aurora – The Marion Makeover – Summit-University, Saint Paul, MN

Transforming a 5-unit building into 7 affordable units by converting 2,000 sq ft of basement space into two ADA-compliant, energy-efficient micro-studios. The project includes new flooring, upgraded appliances, improved accessibility, and the creation of a small outdoor play area.

372 Aurora – The Aurora Revitalization – Summit-University, Saint Paul, MN

Restoration of a historic fire-damaged duplex into modern, energy-efficient affordable housing. The design preserves the building’s historical character while updating systems and finishes. Includes interior rehab and sustainability upgrades with a $195K renovation budget.

661 Payne Avenue – Saint Paul, MN (A1 Development Partnership)

Rehab and buildout project led by Thurmond resl estate and Alex Gebru, a first-generation Ethiopian developer. Involves cosmetic updates to existing units and the addition of a new ADA-compliant studio. The site promotes African representation and equity in development.
